the food chain by Marco

So we were sitting on the porch, having a picnic lunch, watching the birds eat the worms, here's how the conversation went.

Marco: "what eats the birds?"
Me: "cats"
Marco: "what eats the cats?"
Me: (contemplating making a joke about the chinese place down the street...) "nothing"
Marco: "Dogs eat the cats. Monsters eat the dogs. People eat the monsters. Ghosts eat the people. Houses eat the ghosts. Monster houses eat the houses."

We contemplated this for awhile. Then one one the birds flew up to the top of one of the trees.

Marco: " It's feeding it's babies..perhaps...
